RYE HOUSE TRAINING DAYS
Rye House Speedway has started a new series of Training Days at the Hoddesdon Raceway. Many will know that Rye House was originally known in the sport as a training track. Now, all is being revived under the watchful eyes of three long-time servants of the sport:
- “Gentleman” George Barclay, who himself started his career at the Rye House training school back in 1965
- Alan Mogridge, a double testimonial man in a 24-year career that started at Wimbledon and Crayford
- Rye House promoter Len Silver, who was also the founder of the famous Hackney Training School of the 1970’s & 80.
So, what are you waiting for? Whether you are 7 or 70, with bike, kevlars or your old leathers, come and improve your skills or get “back to basics”. Alan, George and Len are here for you. Feel free to ask questions and take it at your own pace; there is no competition.
There will be a maximum of 20 riders per day. Booking is essential and on first come first entered basis. Cost is £40. The Training Day runs 11am – 3pm.
